Another wrap from S! for a self proclaimed non-wrapper she has some nice wraps. This week I'm testing out Nati notes. This is my first Natibaby wrap. I have to be honest and admit that I've just never been that into them, the patterns just didn't intrigue me and because of my wrap friends I kind of jumped right into the world of "high-end." But as it turns out, I was missing out. Notes is a 30% hemp 70% cotton blend. It seems like a medium thin wrap to me tightly woven so it's very soft and very smooth. And when I say it's very soft, I mean it, it might be, actually I know it is, the softest wrap I've used to date. The musical note design still doesn't appeal to me personally, but it is classy and the color of marine is gorgeous; one of those tones that would look good on anyone. Since it was so soft I used it first for SG. We were away for the weekend in Syracuse for DH's work and Rochester visiting family so we were at the hotel Friday night the first time I used it and we actually ended up in a tandem with our Ergo. It was late and both boys were tired so SG went in a fwcc in notes. Due to the tiredness he was fussy and squirmy so I didn't get him wrapped that well but he went up quick and easy. I only wore them for about a half hour before we were able to go to bed for the night. I think because I was in a hurry and it was late and we were tandemed I just didn't really take the time to notice the wraps qualities that well and it just seemed average, unremarkable except for the softness. Tonight however back at home I got it out again and really took my time with it. I wrapped both boys today as well to get the full picture. SG was first again and he went up in a fwcc again. This time I got a great wrap job and it was so easy and nice and snuggly. Then it was LD's turn and man with him notes just lit up! It's like she was saying this, this is what I was made to do. | The hemp holds his toddler weight in the most amazing way, and the smooth texture of the wrap makes it a breeze to do back passes and it tightens with hardly any effort. No sore triceps with this wrap. I finally understand what it means for passes to glide and wraps to wrap themselves. Notes made wrapping so easy for me I even made up my own carry: some sort of double hammock variation tied at the shoulder. For all I know it could be a real carry but I don't know it just made me feel so confident that I didn't even watch a video on youtube first, I just went at it and the result was beautiful: visually and functionally. With the dude wrapped up in our off the cuff carry we took a short walk from the church to the library and since Sleepy was sleeping in the stroller and the Dude was wrangled on my back I actually got to browse the stacks for a good 20 minutes. It was awesome and so was notes' performance. No digging, no pinching, no sagging. Notes still isn't the pattern for me but I might be heading over to the swap page on facebook to hunt for another nati hemp after I finish this post which coincidentally is right now. So Bottom line: This is a great wrap for anyone, super soft for squishes, super strong for toddlers, great for newer wrappers and a nice break from some bigger beasts out there even when you are experienced, classy understated and flattering. You won't have any regrets. |

Hi, was wondering how this compares to the natibaby notes in linen/cotton?

Hi there thanks for asking. I haven't personally had the opportunity to wrap with a notes linen, but if I get my hands on one I will definitely compare them. That being said I have some insight on Natibaby linen in general. I think it is very soft but a little slippery, it is thinner than hemp and cooler. I hope that helps.
